1Scope and responsibility
The Service is operated by one individual (the “Operator”) as a non-commercial project. No data is sold or used for marketing. Personal data is processed only as far as necessary to administer accounts, to link a player to a seat at a table and to a saved game, and to keep the Service working properly.
2Data collected
When you sign in with Google, the Service receives your email address, name, profile picture and account identifier from Google and stores what it needs together with the display name you set. The email address identifies the account and informs the approval of it; it is not used to send promotional messages. The Service does not request or store your Google password, identity documents, address, telephone number or payment details.
3Games and tables
A saved game holds what replaying it requires, such as the seats, the deal and each move. The owner of a game may set and change who can watch it back, within what the Service supports. The leaderboard counts finished games only. A table’s data may include its name, join code, the players’ positions, the watchers and the time each was last seen. A table password is not stored as readable text, and the table’s secrets are deleted when it closes.
4Language-model seats
When you seat a language model at a table, the data needed to play — such as the board state, that seat’s hand and the display names at the table — is sent to the model provider you chose. Other data is not sent, except where necessary for processing by the system or the external service; your account details and email address are not sent along with the game data. The provider’s processing and retention of data are governed by that provider’s policy, which you should read before use. An API key is stored encrypted and deleted when the table closes, under the procedure the Service defines.
5Activity and administration
Activity such as taking a seat, playing a game and watching a table may be recorded against the account for administration and the investigation of irregularities, and is kept for no more than 90 days unless it must be retained to handle a complaint or to comply with the law. An administrator may approve, suspend or block an account and may access a private game as far as necessary to review a report or resolve a problem. Administrative actions are recorded with the person acting and the reason, as the system allows, and those records are kept for the period defined.
7Retention and your rights
A sign-in session lasts 30 days. Activity records are kept for no more than 90 days, except where this notice provides otherwise. A saved game is kept until it is deleted or a deletion request has been carried out. Backup copies may still hold deleted data for a limited period not exceeding 30 days. You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data as the law provides; the Operator acts on such requests free of charge, except where the law allows a fee in defined cases. When an account is deleted, its data and the games you own are removed under the Service’s procedure; games owned by others are not deleted merely because you asked for your account to be deleted.
8Data kept on your device
Your browser may keep a few settings on your device, such as the language you chose, the game you have open so it resumes after a reload, your progress in the course, your sound and layout choices, and model API keys you asked it to remember. This data is stored in your browser and is not sent to the Service’s servers automatically; data you use with an external function or service may be sent to the destination concerned. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes what is stored on the device.
